Hello dear families of Sacred Heart Parish! I've only been here since the beginning of July, but already we begin the month of August. I hope your summer has been a good one so far. Although we still have some good weeks of summer left, soon the new school year will begin, as well as a new Packer's season! That also means a new year of faith formation for your children is nearing!
What a beautiful moment it was when you had your children baptized, when they were washed in the saving Mercy of our Lord Jesus and filled with His sanctifying Grace. At that moment of new life of Grace for your child, you promised to God to help hand on the One True Faith, helping to mentor and catechize your child to know God our Father, and our Savior Jesus Christ in a living relationship of Love. This is the most important mission God has entrusted to you as parents of your children, far greater than preparing them for a future career or for a successful adult life. It is God's desire that you help prepare your children most of all for their eternal destiny of living with God forever in heaven!
Here at Sacred Heart parish, we are excited to help you in this beautiful mission you have from God. This year we have a new curriculum, concentrating on catechizing your children each week in the classroom. We want to help your children know Jesus Christ and the beauty of His Presence in the sacraments. We want to help your children to know the Holy Spirit as their Divine Friend and Guide in life. And most of all, we want to assist your children to know God their Loving Eternal Father, that they are called to live always as children of the Light!
I want to thank you ahead of time for registering your child in our faith formation program, and taking the time to bring your children to our religious ed classes. We won't have the family model this year, but will concentrate on really helping the children and youth of this parish to know our beautiful Catholic Faith in Jesus Christ. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus bless you in all the sacrifices and efforts you do for your children! Together may we discover what His Grace can accomplish in each of our hearts when we trust His Sacred Heart in a real friendship! REGISTER HERE
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus bless each of your families in His Abundant Love, Fr. John
